Singapore’s James Leow held off compatriots Marc Ong and Abdul Hadi to win the SPGA’s Victoria Chen Golf Series with a 54-hole total of 4-under par.
Leow entered the final round 3-strokes behind the leader Marc Ong who posted earlier rounds of 72, 69 and looked to be in control of the tournament heading into the back nine on the final day. The home stretch of holes at Laguna National’s Masters Course has historically created drama during numerous professional tournaments with a significant amount of water coming into play, and this event proved no different. Leow took advantage of a 3-shot swing against Ong with birdie on the difficult par three 17th hole and then closed out the win with yet another birdie on the par four 18th hole.
This was the 2nd win for Leow on the SPGA Circuit in 2025 following his victory at Palm Springs Golf Club in the ParTee Golf Classic.
In the Senior Division it was New Zealand’s Stuart Holmes who claimed the win following back-to-back rounds of 71 that helped him move up 10 places over the final two rounds. Overnight leader Bill Fung could not quite hold on and had to settle for a runner-up finish, 2 shots behind Holmes.
The Singapore PGA would like to thank Victoria Chen as well as Laguna National Golf Club for their support in making this event a great success.
